Been forever since i have posted. Been huge changes in my life. I did not post about it before but on Valentines day I got married. Married an amazing man whom I adore. I feel incredibly lucky. Today it is 3 months since we married. It was fast and maybe it was jumping the gun but with my facing the surgery we decided not to wait. It was what we both wanted. It was very spur of the minute on when to get married. On Thursday we talked about it, only after we decided to try to get married on Saturday morning so that a good friend could stay for the ceremony from Blackfoot (She had to leave at noon to go to work) did we realize that Saturday was Valentine's Day. I called the lady who was to be our officiant and figuring she would not have any time on Saturday was prepared to be disappointed but got a pleasant surprise that she was not busy. Everything went well and with a few friends we married quietly at a friends home. We do plan eventually to have a renewal of our vows and a reception for all of our friends and family.
This last month has been quite interesting, with several hospital visits and even a two day stay for me. I had a hysterectomy on February 20th and seemed to be doing really well. Except for these pains i would get very low in my abdomen on the right side. Talked to the Dr about it, she saw nothing wrong, even went to the ER on the 19th of April for the pain got sent home with some pain pills and some antibiotics for inflammation. Well at about midnight that night had the worst pain ever in my legs and was headed for the ER when I discovered I could not walk. Dad was awake and called an ambulance for me. After waiting for a couple of hours to even get pain medication. The Dr came in looked at my leg and said he thought I had a blood clot in my leg, that they did not have a ultrasound tech on duty but that he would like to go ahead and start the medication for a clot. I knew that heparin would not hurt me even if it was not a clot so I said to go for it as long as the pain lessened. I was admitted to the hospital for a two day stay. I am doing better but my right leg is still twice the size of the other and hurts when I am on it too long. My Doc figures that the leg pains I was attributing to restless leg syndrome after my surgery were actually the clots forming and that the abdomen pain was related as well.
I started back to the gym today and although I cannot do much I get in the pool and try to move around some. I want badly to lose 100 pounds by this time next year. I know I can do it and I have a huge amount of support to do it as well.
