WOW, what a trip to Twin we had started out leaving about 20 minutes late, but Stacy (Josh's girlfriend) had already filled up her gas tank, so that was good. So Stacy gets here we load up Andrew and head off to Twin Falls. We get 8 miles from the house and BOOM!

We were on the freeway doing about 75 when it happened, in the left lane. All of a sudden it started fish tailing, Stacy says she is glad I was driving, said she would not know what to do. We ended up parked in the median, with cars and trucks just blowing by us. When the State Trooper arrived he had me back down into the median a bit so we were not quite so close to the roadway. Luckily i have roadside assistance with my cell phone. So we called for a tow truck, because the median is so soft there was no way to change the tire there ( not that it is safe to do it there anyway). So after the tow truck gets there (and almost gets hit by a semi himself) He has us get out into the median

So the tow truck driver gets us loaded up and off we go to Big O tires, where we (Stacy) buys a brand new tire to replace the 5 month old tire that went kaboom about 15 minutes later off we go only 2 hours behind schedule. With Andrew's step-mom sitting at the truck stop in Twin waiting for us with no way to reach her. We called her parents and let them know what happened but she does not have a cell and there was no answer at her house. We head for Twin and go straight there except for a real quick potty break along the way where we decide to give the guy who's "lost his wallet" a couple of dollars to help with gas (hoping for karma points at the least). We all get to Twin just fine, get Andrew to Bethie who has started to panic, and everything is fine or so we thought. So Stacy and I decide to go see if there are any crazy people jumping off the perfectly good bridge and then I thought we would go back to Boise the back way so Stacy could see Thousand Springs.

So we pull into the parking lot of the visitors center in Twin Falls and hear a big POP and then a bunch of air wooshing. It was the tire that had just been put on back in Boise. So we lock up the car, and walk over to watch the BASE jumpers while I call Big O in Boise, it is about 5pm at this point. Big O in Boise is open until 6pm, and i figure there is most likely a Big O in Twin and the one in Boise will call the one here for us. WRONG, the guy at BO Boise says sorry nothing I can do for you, you must have run over a nail, and the one in Twin is already closed. You can just put the spare donut on and drive it slow back to Boise and we will be in at 7:30 on Monday morning. Well I know i am NOT driving back to Boise on a donut. So Stacy and I go to take the spare out of her car. Stacy gets the spare out and in the process LOCKS the keys in the TRUNK, notice I said earlier we LOCKED the car up where our purses where the spare keys were. So for the second time today I call road side assistance while Stacy starts to change the tire. There are probably 15 guys in the little park between the ages of 16 and 30 and NOT one of them offers to help us, but the 70ish gentleman with the new knee helps us change the tire. By the time the tow truck gets there the tire is changed and we are off to Walmart, the only place the older gentleman and i could think of for sure to get a tire at that time on a Sat.

Well the Walmart was pretty busy, only 2 techs working and a bunch of cars in front of us, when they finally get to us, a wonderful lady Johanna, helps us and finds that the tire is way defective cannot be fixed so we buy a second new tire in a day for Stacy's car. So WalMart closes at 8 and we were pulling out at 8. After a quick stop at McDonald's, for a quick bite to eat we were finally on our way home. With no other problems we made it back to Boise, THANK GOODNESS.

On the plus side you can't say it wasn't an exciting trip. Just think of it as an adventure. If things had gone perfect what would you have done with the extra time?
